Q: What things should I bring with my pet, if any?

A: We recommend you bring:

A bed, blanket or a rug
Healthy treats (No Milk-Bones (indigestible tallow), dyed, soft or gummy treats). Please label container with your pet’s name.
Food –All pets other than cats and dogs are required to bring their own food, in pre-measured baggies with the pet’s name on each bag.

We stock the following brands of dog and cat food:

Dogs: Canidae, Iams, Nutro, Ole Roy, Pedigree Pro Plan, and Solid Gold
Cats: Solid Gold, Canidae, Evenger’s canned food
If you use another brand, we suggest (as abrupt food changes can lead to intestinal distress) you bring your pet’s food in unbreakable containers labeled with your pet’s name:

4-day or less visit in pre-measured baggies
5-day or more visit in a large plastic or metal bulk container w/scoop
It is not necessary to bring your dog’s bowls. Bowls will be
provided.

Medication with the dose information on an index card
Two toys
Chew bones without knots that are made in the USA – We provide chew hooves to dogs.
Shirt or sweatshirt (recently worn by their owner) for nervous pets or first time boarders.

PLEASE do not bring anything in glass bowls or containers.

We also have a selection of toys and beds for purchase.

Q: What does Gypsy Glen do if my pet becomes ill?

A: Gypsy Glen will collect information about your veterinarian when you register.

We prefer to take your pet to their own veterinarian as they are most familiar with your pet’s history. If your veterinarian is not available we will take your pet to Gypsy Glen’s veterinarian service. If neither is available we will take your pet to a 24-hour emergency center. We will also notify you as soon as possible.
